About VerifyDocs

Identity verification infrastructure, built in India for India's builders.

VerifyDocs is a KYC and identity verification API built by Future Technology so that fintechs, lenders, exchanges and marketplaces can verify a customer in seconds instead of a review queue.

Our story

Why we built VerifyDocs

VerifyDocs was founded in 2022 by Shakil Ahmad under Future Technology, a Lucknow-based technology venture. Before VerifyDocs, the pattern kept repeating across projects: every fintech, lending, or gaming product needed the same thing early on — a reliable way to confirm that a customer's Aadhaar, PAN, or bank account was real — and every team ended up rebuilding it from scratch, or paying for a KYC suite far larger than what they actually needed.

VerifyDocs exists to fix that gap: a single-purpose, developer-first verification API that a small team can integrate in a day, and that a regulated business can trust in production.

Every product I've built — a trading platform, a fee-collection SaaS, a CRM for government meal programs — needed the same identity layer underneath it. I built VerifyDocs to be that layer, so the next founder doesn't have to build it twice.

Our mission

Make identity verification a solved problem, not a project

Our mission is to give every Indian business — from a two-person fintech to an established NBFC — the same verification infrastructure that larger platforms build in-house, through one clean API instead of a compliance department.

Compliance-first

Every service we ship is designed around how Indian regulators expect identity data to be requested, consented to, and retained.

Developer-first

Clean REST endpoints, predictable JSON, honest error codes and a sandbox that behaves like production.

Security by default

Data minimisation, encryption in transit and at rest, and full audit logging on every request — not an add-on plan.

Built to be used, not just sold

We build and run our own products on this same infrastructure — it has to work for real traffic, not just a demo.

How we got here

From one product's problem to a platform

2022

Future Technology founded

Shakil Ahmad founds Future Technology in Lucknow, starting with hands-on builds across FinTech, gaming and CRM/ERP products.

2023–2025

The verification pattern repeats

Building a crypto trading platform, an education fee-collection SaaS, and a government CRM back to back surfaces the same need every time: fast, reliable identity verification that doesn't require a full compliance stack to integrate.

2025–2026

VerifyDocs takes shape

What started as an internal verification module is rebuilt as a standalone, sellable API — VerifyDocs — with its own architecture, documentation, and a service catalogue spanning Aadhaar, PAN, bank account and more.

Today

A single-purpose verification layer

VerifyDocs is built to be the identity layer under other people's products, the same way it was under ours first.

The founder

Built and run by one hands-on engineer

Founder & Product Lead, Future Technology

VerifyDocs is designed, built and operated by Shakil Ahmad, who founded Future Technology in 2022 and has since shipped a portfolio spanning KYC/identity verification, FinTech, EdTech, gaming and CRM/ERP products — each one built end-to-end, from database schema to production deployment.

That hands-on background shapes how VerifyDocs is built: lean, self-hosted, dependency-light infrastructure that a small team can actually run and reason about, instead of a framework-heavy black box.

What we build on

The same principles across every product

Lean by default

Core PHP and raw SQL over heavy frameworks — fewer moving parts, easier to audit.

Self-hosted

Runs on standard shared/cPanel infrastructure — no forced vendor lock-in.

Documented for continuity

Every product ships with its own architecture and decision docs, so it can be maintained by anyone, not just its original builder.

Shipped, not theorised

Every principle here has already run in a live product before it became a rule.

Bring identity verification into your product

Get sandbox access, run a verification, and see the response shape before you talk to anyone about pricing.
